Effects
I created my intro on After Effects. The top screenshot shows how I created it. I used a 3D tracking camera to make the text stay in the same place in the shot as the camera panned down. I then adjusted the position of the text to where I wanted it to be. After this, I made the text wipe away when the cyclist goes past.
In this scene, I put many keyframes in. I did this so that I could fade the scene in and out by lowering and raising the opacity.
I put some music over the top of these scenes in order to set the mood. At the start and end of the audio, I faded it in and out once again by raising and lowering the volume. I did this again by using keyframes but this time on the audio layer rather than a visual layer.
For this clip, I wanted it to be in slow motion. Therefore, I right clicked on the clip in my timeline and selected 'Speed/Duration'. I then reduced the speed of the clip from 100% down to 20%. This resulted in the duration of the clip being extended. The clip was now to long for my liking so I cut it down.
I made an ending title card on Photoshop and transferred it onto Premier Pro. I put it at the end of the film and put some low level music over it.
Extension Task - Project Review
I am most proud of my editing skills in this project because, before this unit I wasn't that confident when using Premier Pro. I am now used to the software and confident in using it as I have learnt many new editing techniques and skills thanks to help from online tutorials and team members.
There were many obstacles during this project. For example, relying on actors to turn up was a problem and trying to find a time that suited everyone to film. Overall, I am happy with the outcome of the short film that we produced as we worked hard on it as a team and overcame a lot of obstacles to produce it.
